Grenada Super Double Layer Capacitor Factory
The new series of cylindrical electrochemical double-layer capacitors offers excellent pulse power handling characteristics based on the combination of very high capacitance and very low ESR.
Cornell Dubilier supercapacitor products are offered in a full range of capacitance values and configurations. This enables utilization of supercapacitors in a variety of industries and applications for many power requirements needs.
The rapid charging and discharging of supercapacitors is reflected in their specific power, a parameter with units of watts per gram (W/g). Power is the rate of receiving or delivering energy (p = dW/dt). The specific power of supercapacitors far exceeds that of the lithium-ion battery.
Unlike batteries, which store energy chemically, supercapacitors store energy electrostatically. This enables rapid charging, making them ideal for applications demanding quick energy replenishment. However, their energy density is typically lower than that of batteries, limiting their use for long-term energy storage.
The longer the supercapacitor is held on charge the lower the leakage current of the device. The reported leakage current is a measurement of the charging current after holding the device at rated voltage for 72 hours continuous at room temperature.
